DO DOLPHINS SLEEP?

Dolphins have to be semi conscious when they sleep, they cant go into a full deep sleep otherwise they would suffocate and drown. They take regular catnaps during the day, resting motionless in the water and rise to the surface every now and then to take their breath, shutting off half of their brain, keeping one eye open looking out for potential predators. Dolphins have excellent vision in and out of water.
